Backs Extra Energy has been developed specifically for use during the racing season. Its formulation combines maize starch with electrolytes, vitamin B12 and vitamin C, providing additional nutritional support during the final preparation before basketing.
Carbohydrates are an important energy source within a racing pigeon’s diet, while electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and magnesium form part of normal fluid and mineral balance. Backs brings these components together in a powder that is mixed directly with the pigeons’ normal feed.
Backs Extra Energy should be given for two to three days before basketing, depending on the difficulty of the race.
