Backs Liquid Pigeon Tea provides the traditional Belgian tea mixture in a convenient liquid concentrate. A specialised production process is used to preserve the ingredients, removing the need to prepare and brew a dry pigeon tea mixture before use.
The liquid format also gives fanciers flexibility in how it is fed, as it can be added to drinking water or mixed with the normal feed.
The feeding programme varies according to the stage of the pigeon calendar:
Flavouring compounds: mixture of flavouring compounds – 100,000mg per kg.
These are substances used in animal feed to influence its smell or palatability.
The main practical difference is preparation. A traditional dry pigeon tea needs to be prepared before it can be offered, whereas Backs Liquid Pigeon Tea is supplied as a ready-to-measure concentrate.
This makes it straightforward to incorporate into an established loft routine while retaining the flexibility to administer it through either the drinking water or feed.
1000ml bottle
Backs Liquid Pigeon Tea can be given through the drinking water or mixed with the feed.
Drinking water: mix 20ml with 1 litre of water once daily when being used.
Feed: mix 20ml with the feed for 25 pigeons once daily when being used.
Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Shake well before use.
Shaking the bottle helps ensure the liquid concentrate is evenly mixed before the required amount is measured out.
Yes. This can be useful when you don't want to add a supplement to the drinker or when other products are already being administered through the water. Follow the stated feeding quantity when using it over the feed.
No. Although it can be incorporated into a racing programme, it can also be used around pairing and during the moulting period, so its use isn't limited to pigeons that are actively racing.
No. Unlike a traditional dry pigeon tea, it is supplied as a liquid concentrate and does not need brewing. Measure the required amount and dilute it in drinking water or administer it with the feed.
It's better to prepare the required amount as part of the normal feeding or drinking-water routine rather than leaving a diluted mixture standing for extended periods. Keep the undiluted concentrate securely closed and protected from light between uses.
