Good poultry feeding starts with choosing the right feed for the birds you’re keeping. Whether you have a small back garden flock or larger numbers of poultry, the right balance of grains, pellets and grit helps support healthy birds and consistent egg production.
Our poultry range includes mixed corn, layers pellets, wheat and oyster shell grit, giving you the essentials for everyday feeding. Packed and supplied from our County Durham mill, we’ve been providing feed to bird keepers across the UK for more than 40 years.

Layers pellets are a complete feed designed to meet daily nutrient needs for laying hens. Mixed corn (usually maize + wheat) is an energy treat—best offered late afternoon so birds eat pellets first.
As a guide: 100–120 g of layers pellets per average hen daily, plus a small corn portion in the evening. Adjust to body condition, weather and activity.
Use wheat as an occasional whole-grain energy top-up or scatter to encourage natural foraging. Don’t let it displace the complete feed.
Provide oyster shell for calcium (shell quality) and insoluble grit for birds without regular access to small stones (helps grind feed). Offer separately so birds self-regulate.
Yes as an energy treat, but ensure ducks and other poultry still receive a balanced daily ration appropriate to species and life stage.
Pellets morning/daytime, corn late afternoon, fresh water always, and oyster shell/insoluble grit ad lib in separate containers.
Keep bags cool, dry, airtight, off the floor and away from pests; label with date and use first-in, first-out. Discard any feed that smells musty or shows mould.
