Backs T-K-K Nature is the natural version of the Backs T-K-K product. Its formulation combines a range of familiar plant ingredients, including garlic, thyme, rosemary and chamomile, together with elderberry juice, cork oak bark, liquorice root and malic acid.
The liquid format allows measured quantities to be incorporated into the pigeons’ drinking water or administered with the feed.
Garlic, elderberry juice, thyme, cork oak bark, rosemary, liquorice root, chamomile and malic acid.
T-K-K Nature has different feeding rates depending on when it is being used, so measure the liquid carefully rather than adding it freely to the drinker or feed.
When administering through drinking water, prepare the required dilution using fresh water and keep drinkers clean as part of the normal loft routine.
500ml bottle
Give 7ml per litre of drinking water for three days, followed by 3ml per litre for five days.
The same measured quantities can be administered with the feed for 20 pigeons.
Following return from a race, give 7ml per litre of drinking water for three days, followed by 3ml per litre for one day.
It can alternatively be administered with the feed for 20 pigeons.
For course feeding, give 7ml per litre of drinking water for three days, followed by 3ml per litre for four days. The feeding programme can then be repeated.
Where pigeons have thin droppings, the stated feeding rate is 4ml per litre of drinking water for seven consecutive days.
Persistent or unexplained changes in droppings can have many causes and should not be assumed to be nutritional. Seek appropriate veterinary advice where there are concerns about a pigeon’s health.
Store in a cool place protected from light. Shake well before use.
No. Backs T-K-K Nature is a complementary feed for pigeons, not a veterinary medicine. It should not be used as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment where a pigeon is unwell.
No. T-K-K Nature is specifically described as the natural version of T-K-K and has its own formulation and feeding instructions. The two products should therefore not automatically be treated as interchangeable.
It may form part of a wider feeding programme, but check the ingredients and directions for any other complementary feeds being used at the same time. Avoid combining products simply because they are intended for the same stage of the racing programme.
The product has several stated feeding programmes rather than being restricted solely to race days. Always use the appropriate feeding rate for the reason and period in which it is being given.
Do not rely on a complementary feed to diagnose or treat illness. If pigeons show persistent abnormal droppings, loss of condition, breathing problems, reduced appetite or other signs of illness, appropriate veterinary advice should be sought.
It has specific feeding programmes with measured quantities and durations, so it should not simply be added continuously to drinking water without following the stated directions.
The feeding rate changes depending on how the product is being used. Measuring the required amount accurately ensures the concentrate is diluted at the appropriate rate rather than being added to the drinker or feed by estimation.
