A fine, easy-eating seed mix tailored for foreign finches that favour small grains and oilseeds for steady condition.
Ideal for Zebra, Bengalese, Gouldian and many other foreign finches; also suits small waxbills and weavers.
About 3–5 g per finch per day (roughly ¾–1 teaspoon), split morning/evening. Always provide fresh water and mineral grit/cuttlebone.
Yes — use as the base seed. During breeding/moult, add a little eggfood/softfood and small daily greens for extra amino acids and vitamins.
No — the blend is mainly millets, canary, niger, groats, linseed and a touch of hemp, so it flows well in small-port feeders.
Some — finches hull millets and canary. Use narrow-port finch feeders, refresh daily and remove husks.
Only sprout seed sold specifically for sprouting. If sprouting, rinse thoroughly, drain well and discard if sour.
Keep cool, dry and sealed, off the floor and out of sunlight. Decant into pest-proof bins and rotate stock.
